The National Wild Horse and Burro Advisory public workshop and the Board meeting to be web-streamed live from Magnolia Hotel 818 17th Street, Denver, Colorado, 80202. by HORSE POWER at nvhorsepower.org

 

The workshop on Monday, June 14, will provide the public with a unique opportunity to express their views, comments, and suggestions regarding Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar's wild horse initiative, which he and BLM Director Bob Abbey announced last October.

 

The Board will hold a regular meeting on wild horse management issues on Tuesday, June 15.

The National Wild Horse and Burro Advisory Board meeting will be web-streamed live from John Ascuaga's Nugget, 1100 Nugget Avenue, Sparks, Nevada 89431 (hotel phone: 1-800-648-1177) by HORSE POWER at nvhorsepower.org through their public information and educational partner Sierra Nevada Community Access Television (SNCAT).

 

This meeting will cover issues relating to the management, protection, and control of wild horses and burros on Western public rangelands. The Wild Horse and Burro Advisory Board advises the Secretary of the Interior, the Director of the BLM, the Secretary of Agriculture, and the Chief of the Forest Service, Including the recommendations and input from the Bureau of Land Management, Forest Service, National Wild Horse and Burro Advisory Board, Wild Horse and Burro Advocates along with Public Comments.

HORSE POWER a non-profit 501(c)3,  and their educational partner, Sierra Nevada Community Access Television., is proudly announcing  another project together. Bringing the Public the complete National Wild Horse and Burro Advisory meeting, March 2nd, from 8 am - 5 pm.

 

The National Wild Horse and Burro Advisory Board meeting will be web-streamed live from the Silver Legacy Hotel and Casino in Reno, Nevada, Monday, March 2nd , 2009, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. by Horse Power (www.nvhorsepower.org) through their public information partner Sierra Nevada Community Access Television (SNCAT).  This very controversial meeting is intended to bring together the representatives from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), the National Wild Horse Advisory Board and wild horse and burro advocates.

 

The decisions made at this meeting, could by law include the euthanasia or selling for slaughter of the over 30,000 of America’s wild horses and burros now warehoused in government pens.  The meeting will include recommendations and input from the Bureau of Land Management, The National Wild Horse and Burro Advisory Board and public comments from Wild Horse and Burro Advocates from all corners.

Their first project together is to bring the Public the complete National Wild Horse and Burro Advisory meeting, November 17, from 8 am - 5 pm. Public Comments included.


This very controversial meeting, brings together the BLM, The National Wild Horse & Burro Advisory Board and Wild Horse & Burro Advocates . The decisions made at this meeting, could include the euthanasia of over 30,000 Wild Horses and Burros.

HORSE POWER, dedicated to helping our wild horse and burros remain "Wild and Free", invites you to this "sweet" fund raising event at the Grand Sierra Resort. Nevada's First Lady Dawn Gibbons will be awarding checks to wild horse and burro advocates. Funds were generated from Horse Power's Wild and Free license plate.

 

Join us for decadent desserts and have a chance at great door prizes. Raffle tickets for a High Desert Equine shelter and pipe corral will also be available. This event is at the Grand Sierra Resort, Tahoe Room, 7:00 – 9:00 PM, Saturday, June 21, 2008. Tickets are available on the website www.nvhorsepower.org or $20 at the door.
